Our Team has a long-standing expertise in statistical and bioinformatics methods. We are in charge of building the predictive algorithm on the trainingphase (Phase 1) and evaluating it during the testing phase (Phase 2).
PROMPT OFFICIAL TEAM DESCRIPTION
Dr. Ferran Sanz is chemical engineer by the Institut Quimic de Sarrià (Barcelona) and BSc and PhD by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He is Professor of Biostatistics and Biomedical Informatics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), scientific staff of the Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute (IMIM), Head of the Integrative Biomedical Informatics group and Director of GRIB (UPF side).
His research is dedicated to the application of information technologies and computational methods in biomedical research, with a particular focus on the pharmaceutical R&D.
Dr. Júlia Perera Bel is a bioinformatics scientist, postdoctoral researcher at the Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute (IMIM) and Head of the Bioinformatics Unit. Within PROMPT, she is mainly responsible for the development of the predictive algorithm. She is also responsible for maintaining the PROMPT data management plan and is a member of the Dissemination & Communication Committee.
Dr. Anna Martínez Sirés is a postdoctoral researcher in bioinformatics at the Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute (IMIM). Within PROMPT, she is responsible for the development of the predictive algorithm.
Dr. Miguel-Angel Mayer is a postdoctoral researcher at the Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute (IMIM) and an expert in Real-World Data. Within PROMPT, he supports the quantitative data analysis, the predictive algorithm development and the maintenance of the data management plan.
